the verbal RSVP i just got

Original post by AwaitingAugust

So RSVPs are due at the end of the week and I facebook 'emailed' the friends who's rsvps we were missing just to remind them to send them over.

i get this response just now:

I really don't know what's going on that far ahead. If I MUST decide now, put us as a no. But I won't know for a while yet.

um ... what the heck does that even mean?! i knew she wasn't necessarily going to make it because it was her mom's bday (who lives upstate) but comeon - that's kind of an obnoxious response, IMO

oh well, at least we have 2 more no's

when she gets married she'll understand...until people go through the wedding process, i don't think they realize how important these things are to a bride!

i have a friend who got married last april and she never responded to my wedding.....so even after people go through the process they still dnt get it (sometimes)

just put her down as a no. I can't tell you how many of our friends did the same thing to us. we invited them with a guest and then the RSVP date came and went... and then when i questioned them they were like 'well we are still looking for a date'. i just put them down as single (or no) if they could not guarantee me that they were coming.

I'd say well the final count is due this week. Then if you want to be a no I'll have to keep it that way...

serisously if she wanted to be there she would

People are UNREAL.

I am waiting on 79 responses. (Due this weekend!!) At LEAST 12 people have already asked if they could bring dates when we have made it VERY CLEAR we needed to cut the guest list, so people we don't know were the first to go. (Unless they were dating for a few years, or engaged)

Either way, people are rude and put us brides in such an uncomfortable situation when asking a question they already know the answer to. I feel like they try to guilt you into saying YES.

As for this horrible FB resonse. They would be a 'NO' in my book, and I would kindly tell them not t make any special arrangements for a wedding that's 'so far away.' Pah-lease.
