The Way You Look Tonight

FH and I like this song a lot........we want it as our first dance song. Do you guys think it's appropriate? It seems sort of one sided......and more for a father daughter dance. Did any of you use it as a first dance song?

Personally, I don't think it's a father/daughter dance. I think its very much about a man being in love with a woman. JMO though.

I also understand what you mean about it sounding a little one sided. But I also think that it's a great song and if you both like it, use it.

I'm using it as the Father/Daughter song, but I think its fine to use it as the first dance also. The song is about a loving relationship, it doesn't specify what type of relationship though, so it could be used in either situation.

My husband danced with his mother and I with my dad to the Way You Look Tonight, and the 2 of us started the Sinatra theme with our first dance song: The Best Is Yet to Come.... it's a sexy yet romantic song... loved dancing to it with him!

That was our first song too. I've loved it since father of the bride, and we're both big sinatra fans. DH just has to say 'someday...' and I'm right back in the moment.
