the wedding center

has anyone ever used The Wedding Center for gown alterations...if so how was the experience and how expensive is it??

If you're talking about the one in Commack, don't get your alterations there!!!! Go elsewhere!!!! I love them and used them for an entire package deal with my vendors, but I was warned by many girls not to get my gown altered there!

there was just a post a few days ago..how nasty the ppl are there...tons of the girls all replied saying how awful they were! id say dont bother go else where!

I was a BM a few years and we used them. NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!! Not only were the people nasty but the dresses didnt fit right after the alterations.

Bridal Suite of Bayshore is AWESOME. I have used them a few times in the past. I am also using them for the BM's, FG's and myself. The ladies there have always been friendly and helpful to me.

I don't know if they're better, but I went there for my sisters wedding and they didn't do such a good job. My sisters dress had beads missing...and it was too big on her because they ordered her like 10 sizes too big..and my dress was falling off me during the reception. Also a girl I worked with had the same problem...plus she had blood on her dress and black stuff. I'm hoping you just have someone better than we got stuck with!! But I know I'm not allowed to go there haha. My mom won't pay for me then!! hahaha

Wow, so when they say everyone has a different experience with vendors it is true. Like I said I used them a few times and have always been happy.
But go where your mom will PAY.
There is a place in Copiague called Lydia's that I hear good things about, maybe they are worth checking into.

i agree with this. i had a bad experience with them as well for my sisters wedding. Neither she or I were happy with their service.

LOL, every time some one asks about the wedding center everyone bashes it to no end. I LOVED the wedding center. Every time I went there I had amazing people helping me out every time. I had my alterations done there and my gown fit like a glove. My bridesmaid dresses were gorgeous. At my wedding everyone asked 'where did she get those bm dresses- they are gorgeous' I said The Wedding Center.

I think everyone has very different experiences with that place. I have heard people say they loved it, and I have also heard people say they hated it. Although I do take peoples opinions into consideration, I also do try to give places the benefit of the doubt and check out different vendors and make my own decisions about places. Enough people must have had good experiences with them because they are still in business and it does not look like they are going anywhere anytime soon. I did go there to look for BM's dresses my brother and SIL's wedding and we did not have a good experience, but that was just my own experience.

I would advise you to stay away from them! I've herad nothing but horror stories from girls on this board about this place.
