The Wedding Center-Commack??

My best friend used the wedding center for her photos and video 9/98. The pictures were a mess some you couldn't reconize who was in the picture without a magnifying glass. Some picture were obviuosly double exposed with shadows of other pictures.Scratches on her photo album the day we went to pick the photos up, mind you NOBODY touched the photos, yet they say the scratches must of came from us looking at the photos. She had requested in writing specific things she wanted in her video well she did not get those things and when she requested that another video be made from the master copy which by the way she had paid for and never received she was told that the tape was reused. So she was stuck with an out of focus at times, blurred video that had obvious editing (a blue screen during her vows)BUYER BEWARE WEDDING CENTER is not a place you would want to spend your $$$ they are rude, they are a factory and your wedding will just be another item on the assembly line.Needless to say she is still in court with them since they refuse to release some large portraits she had ordered in addition to the corrections she wanted made on her photos since the video is trash. GOOD LUCK

The Wedding Center-Commack??

my friend's mother works there~ not for anyone who has anything neg to say about them~ because I agree 100% with Tweety! I never met my friend's mother before I stopped in to look at dresses. My friend told her mother that I would be coming in and to take care of me. Well, when I got there and asked for my friend's mother, they were very rude to both my mother and me. When I met with my friend's mother, she seemed as if she had something better that she could be doing. I told her what kind of dress I was looking for and she continued to bring out the ones she thought would look good on me~ nothing like I wanted. She only brought out 4, and when I wanted to try on more, she got snippy and seemed like she wanted us to leave. I told her that I had found a dress I LOVED at another store and wondered if they had it or could get it for me. She couldm't find it in stock and gave me the run around about finding it in a catalogue. When she finally found it, she quoted me a price that wasn't much less than where I had originally seen the dress. My mother then went to try on MOB dresses and got the same treatment (different sales person) Needless to say, we both went and ordered our dresses from the original place where we were treated with respet and kindness (I'd rather spend a few dollars more if it means being treated nicely). On the other hand, one of my BM is ordering her BM dress from them and doesn't seem to mind them. I am just praying that things work out with it!

The Wedding Center-Commack??

I got my BM dresses there becuase they were the cheapest in price, and no one would match their price. However, they went elsewhere for alterations, because I thought they charged a lot for minor alterations. I also ordered my invitations through them, because i got a flyer for 30% off. I saved over $100. Evertything came out great. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I never had any mix-ups or attitudes. The only thing is that they need more people helping you when it gets very crowded. I guess everyone has different experiences. With regard to using their photos/video, I would recommend a professional.

I bought my dress there and thought they were wonderfully helpful. And my dress was in a month after I ordered it. Not sure about their other services.

I also had a positive experience.. My dress and alterations came out great. I ordered my bridesmaids dresses there and my SIL dress was too big so they call up the manufacturer and had it overnighted to the store so she did not have to wait... You just can not go there on a saturday.. it is way too busy but so are most places

The Wedding Center-Commack??

There photo and video dept is professional. They are located upstairs from the area to get dresses, yet the pictures still came out all jacked up, and mind you my bestfriend thought she was making it easier on herself by getting one of the packages they offer. A one stop place was a one stop mess

The Wedding Center-Commack??

Hum, I am real shocked. I have had nothing but good times there with people being very nice, actually much nicer then other places. I have also caught them either late at night or right before dinner time so I think alot of it has to do with your timing, since they do so much business. I really don't care to much for a video so we are doing it through CWC, but we are getting our photography done there b/c we liked there digital album.. does anyone have any positive photography stories about them? I have having a military wedding and starting to get worried. We have hired an additional light person to help out the photographer that day. Laurie
