The Wedding Center- Commack

Hey ladies,

After losing a lot of weight I think I am finally ready to start dress shopping. Has anyone looked for a dress or purchased a dress from the Wedding Center in Commack? If so, how was your experience? I remember seeing so many beautiful dresses from there at a bridal expo back in the Fall but people tell me that the size of this place is intimidating and can be overwhelming. Should I make an appointment with them?

Also, does anyone have any experiences with:
-David's Bridal (Westbury or Massapequa)
-Princess Bridal (Farmingdale)
-Beautiful Bride (Lynbrook)

TIA!!

I wasn't happy with the customer service there. I didn't purchase anything there for that reason. I would definately check the reviews on here for that place. I don't know how they would be with the purchase of a dress. When I was there I was looking at favors & bridemaids dresses. I went to look at wedding dresses & then left.

Good Luck

I have also heard and reviews about princess bridal. I went to bridal suite in bay shore, village bridal in Babylon ad I loved them both

I ended up getting my dress at bridal suite in bay shore

This was the first place I went dress shopping and was not impressed at all....I feel the lady that helped us did not want to be at work, and we were a burden to her...... the dresses that I liked there I actually looked to see who else had it and went there

I had an appointment at the Wedding Center in Commack but the people there were SO RUDE that I didn't even try on a dress. My mom was also asking a few questions about getting her dress and the woman (who was doing nothing at the time) made like she couldn't even be bothered! I wouldn't waste your time. If their customer service is that pathetic before you buy the dress, I doubt it will get much better after.

I thought it was okay. The girl who helped me was really nice and the rooms are big, but it's not the most luxurious place. After we were done we started looking at a tux book and the guy in there shooed us away without getting off the phone, which left a bad impression, but the actual dress experience was nice.

I've only dealt with them on the phone so far because I was pricing around the BM dress to get the best price (which they have) and they were really great to deal with over the phone.

My friend and fellow btb just went there last night and said the same thing about the customer service: poor! If that's a turn off for you then I wouldn't even bother going.

I also had two negative experiences there. The first one was gown shopping for myself-- it was bizarre. The 'consultant' made me open the door in my bra and underwear to hand her out each gown before I could receive the second gown to put on. This was very embarrassing for me and entirely ridiculous that she couldn't let me have two gowns in the room at the same time to avoid displaying my half-naked body repeatedly all afternoon....

The second time I went to look at BM dresses because I know they have a large selection (not planning to buy there, but figured it was a good start), and the lady was so needlessly rude (at one point she says to me, 'What are you, a bridesmaid or something?', and I'm like... 'NO... I'm the BRIDE!'... I know i look young but wth....)

Yeah... so it's got a lot of stuff to try but I wouldn't do business with them. If you want to shop in Commack, go to Helen's down the street, where I got my gown!
