In the past its been a mock wedding with girls who have gotten married the previous year, 2007 for the 2008 WOTY, etc. Its done like a full wedding with vendors donating services and prizes. Its an opportunity to see the various vendors in action and get ideas from it

LIW does a mock wedding.

They pick a bride from the previous year. In order to be picked you have to enter a contest obviously, and the bride from the previous year who wins will be the bride for the wedding of the year, her and her DH. Bridesmaids are also chosen and you have to enter for that too, and same thing its brides from the previous year.

Each year LIW picks a different location, this year it was at VYC and previous year it was a CLM. They use LIW vendors. So each year they feature different vendors. For florists, band/dj, invitations, photographer, hair, make up artist and so on.

There is a ceremony which obviously is a mock ceremony for the bride and her dh that were chosen. Then after there is a reception just like at a regular wedding. LIW members purchase tickets if they wish to attend, i think they were $35 this year.

I know they already had it this year, got a great pair of earrings there :). I was asking if there was any info for the one in 2009. They usually announce it in September.

sorry i got confused since you said 'if there will be on this year' maybe in a couple of weeks they will announce something, usually its close to end of the year. Im sure they'll announce the place sometime soon and then start the entries for bride and bridal party

i believe they started selling tix in late oct last yr... so we should be hearing something soon
