So I was telling SIL that we will probably register for something like guitar hero or whatever cool games are out along with the typical registry items. She looked shocked and said a registry should be things for you to start your life with. Told her we need games to start our life together. I have a lot of stuff already for our house. We do plan on doing the typical pots and pans and sheets since our stuff will be old by then and in need of replacement, but think it would be nice to add fun stuff as well. Took the idea from Jess
Honestly, we are registering at Target as well and they sell food products. Just to mess with people I'm registering for things like a gallon of milk or a carton of eggs. Also think it's a way to say I can register for whatever I want thank you very much. FH LOVED the idea. If someone actually gives me the items, I will love them forever because they would get 'it'. Really hope Target lets you do this or my plan will be foiled!

Re: The wedding registry
lol thats pretty funny. i think as long as you register for 'normal' things as well it should be ok. then some of your guests can get you those things while some of your closer family and friends can get you some more fun stuff.

Re: The wedding registry
I think it's totally acceptable. If you already have most typical stuff...what else are you supposed to register for?! I want to register for my honeymoon...which I know some of the more tradional people will think it's odd...but i'd rather have that than pots and pans!

Have fun...If your friends and family really know you then they will get. Do what you want as long as the both of you are happy.

lol, it's cute..especially if your guest mentally get it and associate it with your personality. Scan some Aveeno for me while you're there!
