Re: The Woodlands at Woodbury

My sister had her RD there and I thought the food was great.
The rooms are nice. I was there recently for a DJ showcase which u should call to see how often they do and go. They offered samples of their food and alcohol.

Hope that helped a bit.

I looked at it, and we really liked it. Loved it in fact. The people there are great, and the menu is fantastic. The only con for us was the set-up of the ballroom and the dance floor is smallish. We have a large dancing crowd and they would never fit.

ETA: I would definitely go and see it. You might like it.

FH went there for a party once - said it was lovely and the food was good.

I looked there and FH and I both loved it. The dance floor was too small for the number of people that we have, but everything else was amazing. The woman that we met with was so great and accomadating. I have heard only outstanding things about the food. My mother just ate at the restaurant upstairs (same chef) and said it was great. Hope that helps. FM me if you need more details.

Why does everyone post Woodlands questions the few times I'm not actually on? I personally LOVE it (obviously) and have found both Maureen and Raquel to be AWESOME. The dance floor is undergoing rennovation....right now. They are apparently adding at least 5 feet all around which should be PERFECT for my crowd. I've been to a business function there and although it was just buffet, the food and service were awesome! Good Luck! FM me if you have any questions.

I have been to the Woodlands a few times this month.
They never mentioned anything about adding onto the dance floor.
I am going there tonight to see it set up before an event and I am going to ask about the dance floor. Any other things anyone wants me to find out?
They are so helpful there.

Hi,

I read your post on The woodlands, I am hoping to go this week to see the place.
Did you ever find out if they are adding to the dance floor? I have a large wedding party so this would be crutial.
Thanks Philippa

i will have my wedding there in exactly 2 months and 4 days!!!!!

so far everything has been great, the only thing that i haven't been exactly happy with is that my BM left, and apparently there have been some turnovers going on...

but i will meet with my new BM in 2 weeks to go over everything, will keep you girls posted!!!!

BUMPING THIS...

OK... I was quoted $145 for an AFTERNOON wedding there... Does anyone think this is rather redicilous?

Whoever has had a wedding there already??? Is enough food served??? Do you need to add any extras???

Let me know what you think... I am really debating between Deseversky and the woodlands...

I really don't know which way...

What do you think.

Deseversky $130, and I can have it on a Sat night
or
The woodlands $145 on a Sat morning...

I am so torn!
