The Work vs Wedding Battle

Is anyone else having a really hard time balancing working and planning?

My job is demanding and it just takes up all my energy. I honestly wish i could take a month leave and just plan and get it done.

Anyone else having this problem ?

of course!!

Right now im lucky that i have the summer off.. but even as a teacher, during the year is so hard, i have so much to do and even if i dont, i'm too tired at the end of the day to do much. FH also works in the school but when he ends up staying late to write reports so he too is too tired at the end of the day.

I feel terrible saying this...but for me it's actually the opposite...I was just saying this morning...if I had a 'real' job, with work to do, I'd get nothing done...
I'm a receptionist...my only job, is to answer the phone, basically, so, I sit in front of the computer all day...I've done all of my research, bought all my DIY supplies...e-mailed vendors to make appointments...I don't have internet service at home! If not for work...I'd get no planning done!!!

Right now I'm okay and not stressing about anything. Come September I'll be in school and beginning to travel more on top of my mom going for her treatments so it will be harder then. My company usually closes the week between Christmas & New Years and I'm praying our President gives it to us again this year. I won't find out until mid-October though. It would be a big help and I could get a lot done.

i am an accountant too. I work saturdays and weeknights starting around january and i go to a bunch of clients. so my days can get very long. i want to finish a lot of stuff by december so that i don't have to think much from jan - apri. .

FH and I both work on wall street. Usually the summer is slow, but not this year. Its been so busy and I try to sneak on and do some research but i just get sidetracked.

I'll be honest, planning my wedding really doesn't have to take up that much of my life, but its fun so I make it take up a lot of time!

I'm lucky with my job in the sense that my monitor faces the wall and i'm against the windows so no one can see that I'm on LIW or other wedding sites all day long. I havent found it to hard to get stuff done.

Got any tips?? I cannot concentrate on work. It doesn't help that I hate my job and I want to quit.

Wedding planning is a nice distraction from work but I don't want to fall so far behind that I can't catch up before getting caught by my boss!

I work for family so I do my planning whenever I want to. It pisses my family off but they love me anyway.

If I still worked for Olympus I don't think I'd have a quarter of my planning done.
