How about them yankees huh? Get paid all that money and they couldn't buy a championship. What happened to them? Soriano striking out? Jeter bobbling the ball? Andy Petite did not know who to throw the ball to at which base. Very interesting how all I kept hearing was how the Marlins were gonna get swept. Pretty embarrasing for the yankees to get outpitched by a 23 year old...
I am happy for the Marlins!

Re: The World Series...
I'm still in mourning and terribly disappointed. I have to admit that the some of the Yankee players did not live up to their potential, nor to the tremendous salary that they make. The team that played better baseball for those 6 games won the Series. That's the way it goes. I could spend all day expounding on the reasons why they didn't win but it won't change the result.
The Yankees are a good team because they stress 'TEAM' and because they believe that you play the game to win! They have been successful because they have an owner believes that anything less is unacceptable and he will do what he has to every single year to field the best team. It will be interesting to see who will not be around next year. If you don't do the job you are being paid to do...out you go!!!!
There are many other teams who could take a lesson from the Yankees.
