Anyone know anything about this one? It's kind of an older diet... worked for a bunch of celebrities, and I'm thinking about trying it but I don't know very much about it... any advice/info would be much appreciated. TIA!

Re: The Zone Diet?
It's fantastic!
I went to a nutritionist (Dr. David Wallman in Smithtown)...he customized a diet for me and said that it follows the basic principles of the Zone Diet.
It has worked for me...and it really is healthy...I eat a little of everything...every meal I eat a carb, protein AND fat!
It can be a bit tricky at first, but after a week, I was a master! (I got down to a size 2...some clothes were even 0, on this diet).

Can you tell me a little about what it entails?

Re: The Zone Diet?
Your best bet is to read the book; The Zone Diet...
in a nutshell: You want to get a certain amount of carbs, fats and proteins per meal...this keeps your metablism going....Eat every 3-4 hours...it varies depending upong your BMI (body mass index is what I think it stands for...the book goes over this, and helps you compute it quickly).
You don't have to weigh everything either...you can eyeball it as well (that's what I do).
I stay away from pastas, breads, etc (I seem to have an allergy or something, when I eat these items, I get migranes, and major allergy attacks the next day).
For my carbs I rely on fruit and veggies...protens, I rely on tofu, beans...sometimes fish, eggs (I don't really eat meat)...cheese For my fats...butter, mayo, olive oil, and so on.
I don't really limit myself except for the pastas...but it's more about eating the right foods together, smaller meals, throughout the day.
I'm not doing a very good job at explaining it...you can always make an appointment with the nutritionist I used...David Wallman, in Smithtown (he's in the yellow pages). He'll get you on the right track.
