we r worried about going to the beach due to tomorrows weather..we were thinking of going to the bronx zoo instead...is that a good date idea?? :)

The zoo is so much fun! Watch out though--one weekday is free entry (I think it may be Weds--not sure) and the place gets so crowded you can't walk.

Wed is the free day...you can look up info online....
it's a lot of walking, so wear comfy shoes. Shorts or capris would be nice....and maybe you'll end up going to dinner as well!!

FH and I had our fourth date there. It was a wonderful date! We got to do a lot of walking and talking. We have been meaning to go again but haven't had time.
Lets see...I wore a denim skirt with a tank top and comfy sandals. And I'd skip the free day- it's worth paying to have a less crowded place, IMO.

the zoo is a really fun date idea and I think you'll have a great time.. I love it there!
as to 'what to wear' , casual is the way to go... shorts, khaki/capris, etc.

Free admission on Wed BUT to get into the different 'houses'...the Monkey House, the Reptile House, etc. costs $$ whereas on any other day...it's a general admission, and then the butterfly zone is extra! That is a must see...especially for a date!

Oh yes! Yuuuuuumy Italian food, not far from the zoo.. nice places for a date, not too formal.. romantic..
ahh sometimes I miss those very early stages when you are on those first dates.. [sigh]
