Theme / Color Scheme Trouble

Ok so i am not sure what to do here. The wedding is Saturday September 12, 1009. It is not quite summer but yet not quite fall. I have no idea what color scheme or theme to come up with. I like the wine / burgundy color but is that too dark for the time i am looking at?????

you can do wine/burgundy at any time during the year - i think that would be a great color!

I was hoping to do that. I wasn't sure if it was too dark color wise for the time the wedding was, or if it was geared more towards mid fall or Valentines Day.

anything goes now .... Brides have all thrown so much of tradition to wind - go for what makes you happy

Mine is Sept 14, 08 We are doing a Black & white with touches of Deep eggplant Purple & Silver - it is not written in stone that you have to do fall colors.

Wine would be beautiful, we considered it at one time.

You can do whatever colors you want at whatever time of the year that you want. You may get opinions from people that won't necessarily like it, but all that matters is that you like it.
My wedding is the end of September, and my colors are hot pink and orange. I've had a few people tell me either that the colors are too summery or that they aren't wedding colors, but I don't care b/c I like them.

You can do what ever makes you happy. I am doing mint and peach and everyone says that it looks like easter but I dont care I love how they look!

I agree!!! My colors are black and ivory with sage green as an accent and my wedding is in the summer

I love the wine colors...but you could make them a little more summer by adding some other colors. Check out my album 'Color Pallets'. It's the first one there. See if you like that.

Date twin! My wedding is actually the same day! I was wondering the same thing about the colors, but I decided to go with which colors I liked. I am using a platinum/euro gray type color with either pale yellow, or pale pink flowers. I loved the platinum color dresses, and I love pink and yellow, so I figured I could mix them in.
I never really believed in certain colors being in season, I agree with everyone else that you should wear what makes you happy, and not worry about what someone else is going to say. Everyone and everything with look beautiful no matter what! Let us know what you decide on.

Pick colors you like... I am doing Navy and Cranberry in July - it is what you like that matters

My friend was married that same time
Look at my profile pic and youll see her colors...the flowers were orange/yellow/champagne

I think wine and burgundy will look great in September. If you're really concerned with the richness of the colors, maybe tone it down with white. White is a classic.
