My E party is Aug 1st and is in my parents yard which is huge and very nice. Everyone is asking me what kind of theme am i doing???? Is this normal, people have themed engagment parties?
The only think i would even think of doing is sort of like a Miami-ish thing, since thats where i am going on my Bparty. Nothing crazy tho, more or less like everything white and modern some bright flowers or something... Is anyone else doing a theme???????

mine is a picnic theme with red checked table cloths. thats all i got so far... my MOH is the creative director, lol
i reallly like the idea of the all white theme with pops of color!

Ours was in December so we did a holiday theme with red and gold colors, snowflakes, etc.

Our E party is August 15th and we are also having it at FH's parent's backyard. We are doing a Hawaiian Luau theme. His dad made a tiki bar so it would be perfect.

So i am thinking all white linens, with center pieces made with these luminated cubes in tall vases with orchids possibly, and have each table different colors? ?? what do you think??
I don't think it really matters. Either way would be very nice!

We're doing a general island theme. Each table is named a different tropical island, the BP will each be given a lei, etc.

I don't know if you need to do a theme as much as a general 'feel' for the decor - i.e. matching colors throughout, same level of formality throughout, etc.

we dont really have a theme, although i kind of turned into a great gatsby type of event. (Champagne brunch at OWG), but no one knows but me, and its only b/c I am crazy! LOL
I do not think you need a theme for your E-party and i think it is strange that someone asked.
