I am really UN-creative, I don't even have color scheme. My FH is very creative on the other hand. So, he wants a 'Fire & Ice' colors/theme. Whatever that means So, my question is: Does anyone having a theme for the wedding? And, is this something I should put more thought in to?
I watch 'Platinum Weddings' and they always have a theme

Re: Theme Weddings
Thinking of the same theme... lol.
Here are some of the ideas I have...Blue uplighting, lots of votives on tables with crimson overlays and some crystals on tables. Think crystals, ice sculptures, glass sculpture, etc. You can create the effect with lighting, food, and favors too.... Hot/Cold buffet for CH or whatever...Half red, half icy blue colors. Your MOH can be in the fiery red and the other girls in icy blue??? Or play with the flowers..

Re: Theme Weddings
I forgot...if we go with that theme... our third color will be silver since it compliments both red and blue nicely.

Re: Theme Weddings
those are great ideas! FH says that we can have torches/candles for CP's and use blue uplighting, and he says that we need to play with the linen colors: i.e. red/burgandy tableclothes, and light blue napkins. myself, was thinking about crystals inside tall glass vases, as well, very similar to what on ur 1st pic. also loved the small candles in those ice cube holders i'm not having a BP, so can't do the BM's dresses thing.

there was a wedding on platinum weddings or one of those shows that did a fire and ice theme, it was real cool. Maybe if you can google it and find ideas from the past show for inspiration. Don't forget about CH and using ice in there, i had an ice basket that had bottles of vodka in it, you can also do this for food, for example have caviar in ice plates and that sort of stuff.

ITA...love the whole ice bar/martini bar, etc. lil hints like that throught out will set the tone. No bp...what about Moms....One can wear red, one blue...LOL. Only if they are open to that of course. You can alternate flowers and linens too... I love the pic I uploaded to the album with the blue flowers in a tall vase, crystals at bottom, filled with water and floating candle on top. You an get red candles...
Good Luck,,,,

Re: Theme Weddings
I don't know what we would call this theme, but we're going for a very homey Thanksgiving-y feel. We're not sure how we're doing to do it yet, but we do want all of our colors to be the 'fall leaves' color family. And we're probably doing to do an assortment of mini pies (apple and pumpkin) for favors.

Re: Theme Weddings
My FH and I had wanted to do a destination wedding at a tropical island but unfortunately we weren't able to so we decided to a destination themed wedding. We are having alot of bright 'tropical' looking flowers and colors. Some of our centerpieces are going to be drift wood with flowers laying over the top of them. We are trying to find some linens for the tables to mimic the look of tropical water and sand. Also for save the dates we are using Postcards (like the ones you would find when you are on vacation).
