My FH has to get his rear brakes replaced. He's leasing his car from Ford and could bring it to them for the work, or he could bring it to Pep Boys (which is the bane of my existence ever since they paved over Nunley's. the carousel and my childhood) which is closer but slow, I think.
So question 1: Is Ford usually fast when it comes to repairs?
Question 2: Is Pep Boys cheaper, just how slow are they and why did they have to destroy my childhood?

I feel your pain - the closing of Nunley's was a very traumatic time for me...
I think it's pretty well known that dealerships charge a lot more for labor and and I've never gotten brakes done at Pep Boys, but I had a tire replaced and they were very fast.

Okay, so we'll probably give pep Boys a whirl... I'll swallow my pride and and try not weep when we park the car in the lot that was one where the Skee ball machines were!
MrsWask... we should form a support group!

i want to join the nunley's support group. loved that place, went there all the time when i was younger. so sad.
i recommend pep boys, yes they are slow but its not as expensive as going to a dealer or private mechanic.

Actually I'm a Freeport chick (moving to oceanside)! They used to turn off the roller coaster for the high school graduation.... my graduation was the first class they didn't do that because Nunley's was closed! It was so traumatic, everything was still there but it was a ghost town you could see from our football field!

I gotta tell you I had such a bad experience with dealerships. I went in for a recall and they must have touched my vent lines or something. Everything was fine beforehand. But ever since they did work on my car, heat and AC never worked again right. They denied it I had dh cousin look at my car a mechanic and he said they def did something to it cause he can see it. he ended up fixing it but it was a pain to get it resolved cause as they put it. 'Why ,would the mechanic touch A when he is working on B' Oh, maybe so I have to come ibakc and kill my day or cause you need my money
