I hate raisins. I think it was in the movie 'Benny and June' where she says that 'Raisins are depressing. They are just shriveled up grapes.' Couldn't agree more!!!!

My husband would agree. he won't eat them plain either. he says they're 'old fruit'.

Not that he eats ' new fruit' either.

Hey, I don't like the Raisin slagging going on on this board today

Besides being a delicious and nutritious snack, they can also play the saxaphone and sing Motown with the best of 'em.

Exactly Heather! You verbalized what I could not say. I mean, you totally ruin BOTH items when you put raisins into them. Even when you take the raisins out , their gooey remnants are left in the muffin. And the raisins themselves are just hideously gross after being baked into a muffin, cake or bread.

Sometimes I think I'm the only one with strange eating habits ... good to know I'm not alone !

Also, what is more of the isue, is not havign full disclosure of the baked gods' ingredient. It shoudl have aid banana granola RAISIN muffin!

What if you have a deathly allergy to raisins???

Now that is funny. I'm actually the exact opposite. I like tomatoes in salads, but cannot STAND tomatoes on a sandwich. Don't like lettuce on a sandwich either, but love salads

My mom will eat tomatos cooked, but is digusted by raw ones!!! She still is shocked when she sees me with a tomato slice on my sandwich. I guess she thought she raised me better!!!!

I'm the same there, can eat them cooked, on pizza, in tacos, in sandwiches, but not by themselves or in a salad...and cherry tomatos?

That' show my husband is. they are 'slimy' raw. Acttaully, he doesn't realy like them cooked,- just the sauce, it can't be chunky sauce.

And I understand that look from the mother. . . I get that when I eat shrimp. . .

You raise a very good point. And truly, as much as my post was originally intended to be funny , all kidding aside it is really crummy that the raisins were in the muffin in the first place. I always think the same about nuts and the severe allergic reactions some people have towards them

I always get my stuff from this place and this was the first time such a 'no-no' occurred, so it might have been mismarked (though it was definitely banana and granola, so I still cannot figure out how the raisins turned up in there )
