There are RAISINS in my Muffin!! BLEEECH!

So I finally get around to eating my muffin (I told you that I am a very late breakfast eater ). A low-fat BANANA GRANOLA muffin no less.. and as I'm starting to eat it, I begin to realize that something is not quite right.

What is wrong, you ask? (well maybe you don't ask, but I'm still gonna tell you...)

There are RAISINS IN IT!

BLEEEEEEEEEEECH!

RAISINS in my MUFFIN!!!!!!!

First of all -- where do raisins fit into the concept of a Banana Granola muffin? Bananas? Yes. Granola? Yes!! Raisins? uh .. no!

Secondly, I like raisins very much. They are a delightful snack treat. But I can only eat them on their own, for whatever quirky reason. I cannot STAND RAISINS IN THINGS. E.g., I don't like raisin bread, raisins in cake, raisins in cookies, and most especially I DO NOT LIKE RAISINS in my BANANA GRANOLA muffin!!



Suffice to say, I am disgusted. Raisin infested muffin is now in the garbage, and I am still hungry!!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

OK, this should be nominated for stupidest post of the day......... and I will gladly accept that title

I just needed to 'vent' and my silly coworkers simply cannot empahsize with this type of pain..

Why didnt' you just pick the raisins out of te muffins and eat them separately- this way you would have had two snacks instead of none!!!!!

JK!!!! I can totally sympathize...I've been known to actually tear up (not cry, mind you, just tear up!) when my egg special has ketchup and no cheese in the morning.......

Farah -- thank you so much for the advise. But really, the muffin has been TAINTED, yes RUINED I SAY, by the mere presence of those raisins deep within my muffin

And likewise, the raisins have been ruined since they were cooked into the muffin as well. Bleech on all counts

Though I am glad that someone can share my pain somewhat ....... sigh....

Oh GOODNESS, me bad! As someone who loathes ketchup on her eggs as well, I am shuddering at my blatant faux pas. For putting you thru this mental torture, I deeply apologize

Exactly Heather! You verbalized what I could not say. I mean, you totally ruin BOTH items when you put raisins into them. Even when you take the raisins out , their gooey remnants are left in the muffin. And the raisins themselves are just hideously gross after being baked into a muffin, cake or bread.

Sometimes I think I'm the only one with strange eating habits ... good to know I'm not alone !

I hate raisins. I think it was in the movie 'Benny and June' where she says that 'Raisins are depressing. They are just shriveled up grapes.' Couldn't agree more!!!!
