there is always something...(long) UPDATED...SEE P.2
People always say that there will be some kind of problem right before your wedding... well last night I finally found out what mine was!
I know that I am not supposed to bash vendors on this site but I need to let you girls know about what happened to me 3 days before my wedding! If you would like to know who this is, FM me and I will tell you. (as much as I don't want to follow the LIW vendor bashing rules I will).
We ordered placecards and table number cards from a vendor that advertises here. He was extremely nice in the beginning and said there would be no problem with our request. So about 2 weeks ago we sent him in our list and he assured us then that there would be no problem. After that he was impossible to get in touch with.
Finally FH called him Monday morning to see what the story was and it turns out he lost our things and NEVER CALLED TO TELL US! (who does business like that???) So we resent him everything and he assured us they be there by tuesday
Our placecards and table cards finally arrived last night (Wednesday)and they are completely wrong!
My wedding is on Sunday and today I am supposed to go drop off a bunch of things at the temple (including the place cards and Table cards)
When we called him he basically said he had no time nor the energy to correct the situation and hung up the phone on us.
I just don't understand how a vendor that advertises on this site could do this to me 3 days before I get married.
And I seriously think that LIW should look into other people's situations as well as mine because after last night I found many negative posts about this vendor, yet the reviews on the ratings sections are wonderful.
Like they say...there's always something

So sorry to hear your unhappy news. Is there someone else in the last hour that can fix your problem? If you are good with Word you can do the place cards yourself? Good luck and have a better day.
What the vendor did was wrong and you should report him to the BBB. Please FM me who it was.

No, you shouldn't 'bash' anyone on here, but telling people that a vendor has done something wrong is not bashing, you're not saying not to use them you're just saying what happened to you. People have a right to be warned if something bad happened to you. Oh, and a sincere sorry to Inkspun if I'm wrong, but it sounds like a similar experience I had.

OMG...That's terrible. If you already paid him I would take him to small claims court. Maybe if you threaten that he will fix them before Sunday.

That ****s. I'd report him to the BBB. He finally gave us our money back after several problems with him, so make sure to keep on it if he owes you money. He should pay to replace whatever he lost too. If it's Bill from Inkspun, I'll write a letter supporting you with an explanation of my experience with him.
Yup, he's really nice until something doesn't work out right or you have a request or question he doesn't feel like dealing with.

Thank you everybody for your kind words and FMs... It was Bill from Inkspun and I have never dealt with a nastier man in my life!!!!
When I get back from my honeymoon I plan on reporting him to the BBB.
As for the placecards, FH is working away trying to find someone to do them for us, otherwise I guess we will have to use the Matire d' service...where they use a book and tell your guests where they sit.
Hopefully this will get resolved though...I will keep you posted

Stacey,
Call Becky or Geoffrey at Renaissance Writings 919-866-1081 to see if they can help you.
They WILL get them to you if they say they will. They'll prob. print them today and overnight them to you. I don't think they do personalized place cards (they will make the place cards but you write on them), but call them to check.
They are amazing-and not that expensive for the lovely things they make (we've gotten tons of compliments on Everything they've done). Tell them Moria and Peter sent you, they know about my experience with InkSpun.
The website is www.renaissancewritings.com. Good luck.

Oh my gosh, I was about to book Inkspun next week and although people have different experiences, I don't want to take a chance because if he does something wrong, I expect him to fix it!!!! He was just so cheap and within my budget. I guess sometimes 'you get what you pay for'

I am so sorry this happened to you. This is horrible! First things first, focus on getting this fixed, your wedding is Sunday, then after your wedding, report him to BBB and yes, LIW should look into this. Please FM me and let me know who this is.
DO NOT think about this on your wedding day. Everything will work out!

Sorry to hear that! If you are good with Word, you can get a decent cardstock in a few different colours in both Office Max & Pearl Paint.
good luck &

Stacey, I hope LIW is aware of this incident and will work towards getting an explanation/ refund from this vendor or forcing him to withdraw his endorsements from this site, even at the risk of loosing money! This site should be protecting the bride who support it and making sure that vendors like the one who s*crewed you over do not have access to us! What an a8s8shoLL!
I hope everything else goes well for you!

I know this is no colsolation (sp?) but you may want to try heading to staples or one of the other office supplies stores and picking up a do it yourself kit ..I know this is something you may not want to deal with so close to your wedding but it may be worth a shot. ( They have special card stock that people use for place cards or business card which also usually comes with software to load onto your computer and then you can import/ type your guest list and print it out on your home printer )
