There's one thing about my wedding...

There's one thing about my wedding...

That I'm not pleased about, even after it's over, after we've returned from the HM...

And that's my flowers. It started when I saw a sample of the centerpieces 2 days before the wedding. They were just okay. Then, when the delivery guy came with all the bouquets, my reaction was less than enthused.

The main flowers were supposed to be gerberas and hydrangeas, and I specifically said roses were to be used as little as possible.

There was one gerbera in my bo-k, and it was ivory, not white... I don't even remember seeing hydrangeas.

The church pew flowers, the lobby of the Reception, and the cake topper all had orchids in them. Not once did orchids come up in any conversation...

Thank God flowers were not an overly important aspect of my wedding, because I am not happy with them. I feel like I spent $2000+ on something that wasn't even what I wanted.

I'm not sure what to do about it. I want to call them and let them know, but I usually get nothing out of complaining. Do I have any chance of getting some money back?

Thanks for reading.

That sux!!! I'm sorry that happened. You could try complaining, but I don't know if they'll give any $$ back. It's worth a try tho...

i'm not sure you'll get any $$ back, but you should def tell them that you were very disappointed! it might help a future bride!

sorry to heard that happened. i don't think complaining will get you any money back but at least the vendor will know that you where unhappy. also just don't recommend them to friends or family.

I would definitely try to contact them to see if they will reimburse you or at least explain to you why they did what they did! Sorry that happened to you!

...and I just looked who your florist was, and it's mine too . I'm surprised because they are usually very good with the flowers

I feel so bad that that happened to you. I would call and complain; they might give you a small discount back. You can also reach out to better business bureau. For the discrepancies: Did you have any specifics in your contract, or was it verbal discussions? I just looked to see who your florist was - I met with them 2 weeks ago but we ultimately went with another florist because even though they were less expensive, they didn't seem to want to hear what we wanted. Its' funny: I also wanted hydrangeas and they kept talking over me about the value of pumping up roses, which I did not really want. Maybe they get the roses super cheap. Thanks for getting the word out. I'm sure the flowers and everything still looked beautiful and that only you noticed that they weren't what you wanted!

I hope I'm not scaring you with this post. I never heard one bad thing about them before my wedding.

I think they're the place to go if you want all roses. If you want something else, make sure you are very specific with them and get everything in writing - every detail! good luck.

FSIL got a full refund with a different florist because her BM bo-k's came in the wrong colors so I don't see why you wouldn't get money back if yours came with an incorrect arrangement of flowers!

They are my florist also and I keep hearing mixed things but I'm hoping that what I want is simple enough that all will be fine since I'm not getting centerpieces from them.

I am doing primarily roses, so hopefully I'll be ok!

you used Burtons????? I emailed them about my flowers tha day ofater my wedding. THey really dropped the ball on my CPs. On monday morning they emailed me back and sent me a check for a partial refund. I still believe they owed me more back but I really didnt want to let it ruin the memories of my wedding so I just accepted what they sent me.

So I say def ask for something.

And all the rave review they get before (during the process) more I hear the more people are disappointed at the end. THey were great all along until 3 days before and then the day of.

I'm sorry that happened to you...I would definitely see what you can do about a refund. I am using the same florist, and the only flowers I'm using are roses, and I'm not using them for CPs, just set up of my own provided sets, so hopefully they can't eff that up. I am not liking these recent reviews.

This particular florist was one that was on my list of Florists to look at for my wedding. I am sad that this happened to you, and I am grateful for reading that experience. I am definitely much more guarded now w/ this vendor - and its a shame that this florist, like many other vendors, require 100%payment before the actual wedding so that you have no control in withholding payment if the services aren't satisfactory.

This part of wedding planning really pisses me off. Why should I be forced to pay 90-100% of the cost of the RH, DJ, vendor, etc if they have yet to provide the service or even to my satisfaction? I hate that!
