While it cannot bring her back, I'm sure there is some satisfaction for JoAnna's family in the knowledge that this creep has been caught!

Hopefully he will be brought to justice soon

Lets just hope justice will do it's part now.

A lady I used to work with.. her daughter was hit by a drunk driver. The guy had a previous hit on this record for drunk driving (involved in a previous car accident) this one with my coworkers daughter killed a 2 year old. The little girl was in the back seat in her car seat. Her older sister sat next to her (5 years old) the other girl told her mommy 'Mommy, she's not crying'. It was so sad. Everyone in my office wrote letters to the judge and DA's office.

The guy got a probation and a rap sheet, strike two they said... that was it. It was devastating!

I hope this guy fries for this.

It's great that they found him, I just cant imagine what this poor family is feeling

I have ZERO tolerance for drinking & driving. IMO it is pre-mediated murder. You put yourself in the car, turn the key. There is just no reason to drink & drive.

Now this women has lost her life, her family is devastated and changed forever...just so he didn't have to pay a cab for a ride home

And of course he had DWI convictions. I don't get people! I have a friend that was hit and killed by a drunk driver on my best friends 21st birthday. We didn't party that night. Instead we stayed home and cried. Whenever we go out and have some drinks we have a designated driver. If not there are cab companies that drive you home for free. We need so hard to fight for stronger DWI laws. These people walk away with nothing a slap on the wrist! It makes me sick. They kill someone who is innocent because the drunk never gets hurt. And then walk away from it.

I have no tolerance for drunk drivers....I am scared to go out after 11PM in my car for fear of the other idiots on the streeet....I ahve lsot 2 friends in drunk driving accidents, they were the victims, it was others driving drunk that killed them....

ITs a horrible pain to feel, and you are never the same, whole person after that...always watching your back and the back of others....

I've had an accident at a green light.. I don't blame you for slowing down. I could have been killed. I ended up with a minor concussion, whiplash and lower lumber strain.

I lost a good friend in High School to a drunk driver. The drunk was a very good friend of mine. He has been in two previous drunken accidents. Once with him not driving but handling a rifle (ROTC) and he shot his hand. The second he was driving and wrecked his car, and shattered his already shot hand. Now you think this would be enough. Instead he got behind he wheel drunk again. This time when he spun to avoid a semi he lost control and hit a telephone pole and wrapped the passanger side door around it. The door and my friend who sat there. My other buddy was in the back seat and ended up with a shattered leg and a large cut from his chin to his forehead. The driver??? Nothing not a scratch. He used his casted arm to break the front windshield to get out and flag down help. Our friend (Edwin) was a beam of light so happy and friendly and really a great guy. He body was wrapped up with the metal of the door and crushed along with it around the pole. They called his family over to say goodbye.

I'll NEVER forget him. It was just some empty promise when I was in High School. To this day I always think of him and I NEVER EVER drive drunk or even tipsy and I won't get in a car with a drunk driver either. I got called names in school and in college and I could care less. I had to admit I snuck out of my house one night because I had to call my dad to pick me up. He didnt yell, just thanked me for making the right choice. In college I took keys and hid them.

My friend who killed Edwin never forgot either. There's no punishment that could have been more severe for him. Still it's tough not to say 'YOU IDIOT! YOU KILLED HIM!' Last I heard he went into the military and has been a big advocate against drinking and driving.

I think more should be done. It's such a stupid way to die.
