I agree that sometimes people are unnecessarily mean. However, sometimes it seems if someone has a differing opinon, and wants a legitimate discussion about it, people get mad and call it 'drama'. Isn't it better if we don't all agree, and if we can educate each other?

As reasonable as this sounds, this is what has not been happening lately.

We all have our opinions about everything with reasons for our convictions, but instead of agreeing to disagree, a lot of what could be interesting/educational debates turn into mudslinging and name calling.

In my own defense...
Noone specifically called anyone an idiot--at least not that I am aware of.

I highlighted june262004's post (where she called herself an idiot) and just wrote: 'You said it, not me.'

I immediately felt badly. I apologized and sent her and LIW an FM explaining that I had inappropriately reacted in a situation where I was feeling overwhelmed and attacked.

Shelzyp called me a closed minded biggot.
She never offers any apology--even though I've sent her FM's trying to make amends. And this has happened more than once. She should know how far off base she is.

I am not sure who everyone is referring to when they mention name calling and drama. I don't start drama, but I admit, I don't always stay out of it either. It's very easy to be provocative when you're hiding behind a keyboard. Everyone has bad days and this should be a place where we can constructively let off steam if need be--not create it. I feel terrible if anyone thinks negatively of me.

ETA: I am referring to the Rosie post.

Kelly, we are not talking about the Rosie post, so you should not be dragging Michelle into this. The problem of late, is that many ladies can't leave what has happened in one post in that post. Instead there is constant regurgitation of drama by doing what you have just done, which I hope was inadvertant. That is to jump into a thread about one subject (here Misty's post) and bring up drama from another thread (Rosie post) and it reads sort of like another attack on Michelle.

I wonder if Michelle has received any apologies for the terrible things that have been said about her
