Things I can do Now

Ok so I am getting married in about 5 months and I am starting to freak out! I am starting a brand new job in September as a teacher in a brand new school. I knwo that once Sept. hits I am not going to be able to do things for my November wedding because I will be tooooo occupied with the new very stressful job. I wanted to know what I can do now and what else I have to do. I am teaching summer school but I think I will be able to do more this summer than once school starts. Thanks for the help!!

DJ (havent decided on music yet)
Officiant
Flowers (havent done samples yet)
Invitations (waiting on proofs before ordering)
I have a makeup trial next weekend but still looking for someone of hair.
Placecard holders
BM gifts\BM dresses
MOB dress
MOB gift

So what is left and what can I start doing now so I dont have a breakdown come Sept.

I think you can start picking out songs, so that's one more thing off of your list.

You didn't say that you had a photographer, but maybe you just left that out.

Let's see:
Photographer and Videographer
List of Ceremony Music
Processional/Recessional etc.
Songs for Reception - first dance, father & Daughter, Mother/son dance, Cake cutting, Garter toss, Bok toss, Anniversary Dance, Last Dance, etc.
Make list of songs you want to play at reception
Make do NOT play list
Groomsmen GIfts
Groomsmen attire
OOT Bags for out of town guests
Choose menu at RH
Choose Cake decor and flavors
Transporation/Limos/Shuttles
Block Hotels for OOT guests
Book Bridal Suite for you night before wedding (if need place to get ready)
Honeymoon plans

I don't know if you've seen this before, but there's a thread for November brides called November Is Our Month If you go to the last page, we've been discussing this very topic, what we're doing now, 4 months out.

Congratulations on your teaching position!! What grade or subject will you be teaching? I teach 3rd grade, so like you, I'm trying to get as much done now for the wedding because I know Sept & Oct will be super busy with work-related things.

On the 1st page of the November thread, scroll down past all the November brides and there's a checklist of things we 'should' be doing at specific times. Hope this helps!
