I feel like FH and I always sitting at home watching T.V because we're saving for the wedding. I'm sick of doing the same thing day after day and want to get out and do something else!!
The problem is: everything just costs so much money!! I love going to Dave & Busters but its so pricey there. Even going out to a bar for a few drinks costs so much money (although FH isnt a club/bar person anyway)
Any ideas of some things to do on a budget?? It doesn't have to be free, just stuff that doesn't cost too much money.
Thanks girls!

Once the summer hits, we go to Robert Moses a few nights a week; after dinner and its free too!....we walk to the Lighthouse alot. Also, the state parks are good. Pedal and row boating are cheap.
If you dont subscribe to Newsday, buy it the Sunday the Fun Book comes out. There are tons of fun and cheap things to do in it.

We go to the Beach, the park, and we have the Entertainment book, so we occasionally go to the movies because we can get tickets for $6 or buy one get one sometimes.
If you like Dave and Busters, they have a menu where you get food and a $10 gift card. Thats what FH and I do if we go there, so we pay once instead of twice, and when the $10 is up, we stop

Re: Things to do on a budget..
we have a DVR and netflix, so we do stay in and watch TV a decent amount but it's much cheaper than the movies and it's nice to be able to watch things when you want.
We also like to play cards, or walk to restaurants near our apartment, or stay in and cook elaborate dinners (much cheaper than going out).
you can have a potluck with friends instead of a night out and it's cheaper and can be even more fun. bowling can be cheap if they are having a special -- there's a place near us that has a tues night special where you get 2 pairs of shoes, a pizza, a pitcher of beer and 2 hours of unlimited bowling for $30. if you bring 2 more friends they only need to pay for their shoes.
you can always go to a bar without a cover and then pre-game it

Re: Things to do on a budget..
we just splurged on an outdoor patio set, fire pit and outdoor storgae things so we are really making good use out of it this summer. It didnt cost us as much as it would have bc we got it at target....so now that the weather is nice out we light the fire pit up, barbeque, make smores and just chill. Also having hbo on demand and a wii helps too. We also plan on taking our puppy to the dog park soon too

Thanks for all the great ideas!! And of course on this beautiful day we're inside watching a movie I couldnt convince him to go to the beach for a walk on the boardwalk...maybe I'll get him to go the park w/ me.
Where can I this Fun book? It sounds like a good idea...and how much $ is it?

this is very geeky but we love doing 'activities' so we've been bowling a few times recently...we also both love friendly competition so it's fun to challenge each other...but bowling can be a fun activity!! also we got bikes and have been doing a lot of bike riding together..it's really fun especially in the nice weather!!
