Things you love/hate about...

What are things you love and hate about your job and what do you do?

I am a music teacher:

Love: Singing and making music with children

Hate: Not being able to go to the bathroom when I need to and waking up early! (I know the bathroom thing sounds dumb, but its so true!)

I love the company I work for

I hate how far it is from my house

I guess I kind of love being a student cause it means in 12 months I will have my PhD.

I hate my job for so many reasons-being a grad student is like being someone's personal slave and making close to nothing.

love-the excitement, the drills, and the planning

hate-the way the guys have more priveleges than me!

ETA: forgot to put what i do.

Private Sector Security-Emergency Response-I work for Corporate Security for AIG

i'm a paralegal/legal secretary

love: the ppl i work with, its 3 mins from my house, i get to wear jeans every day

hate: the @ssholes i have to talk to on the phone, the amount of days off, the pay is eh

Reading teacher:

Love: the freedom I have to teach them the skills they need using the materials I choose....and lets face it my vacations!!!

Hate: I am a leave replacement so it stinks getting use to a building and then having to start all over...but hopefully things will change soon and I will get a permanent position!

I second the bathroom thing!! Especially when you have your period!!!

I am a preschool teacher.
I love being able to wear velour outfits/comfy things to work. Seeing the kids do some of the funniest things( some of them act like the teachers at such ayoung age) and I love some of the people I work with.

Hate: MY PAY!!! Some people I work for, at times. Also I hate that they pack the room with kids when they go over the limit by law!!!
I am going back and I'll probably have another kid in my room and I am only aloud up to 12 kids, I'll have 13!!! Plus the more 2-3 yr olds the more craziness!!!!

seriously...that is THE WORST!!!

I am a long-term sub

Love - the school that I work in - its awesome! The principal is great, teachers are extremely nice and the kids are the best

Hate - that I am not permanent - I have a feeling something will open up in Sept but its not 100% certain yet

Job: Compliance Analyst for an Investment Advisor

Love: The challanges of the finance world and the changes in the Law.
Hate: Can be very mundane and my boss. I am seeing new company in my future.......after bonus.

Love: My coworkers (for the most part); the 4 weeks of vacation I get and the year end bonuses that let me splurge a liitle.

Hate: 60+ hour work weeks; unpredictability; Working on weekends/holidays and way way too much stress.

What I do: big law firm attorney

What I want to do: 9-6 anything with a salary I can live and still shop a little on!

OMG, we are not allowed bathroom times either!! I actually passed out last year from severe dehydration because I was on antibiotics and ditn drink because I couldnt use the bathroom...

I love being a teacher and teaching them songs.... espesially the Verb Song...

but the hate thing, I am with you 100% lmt245... espesially since, well, we dotn even have frees!!

I am a young adult/reference librarian.

Love: Doing fun programs with the teens, being surrounded by books and information, getting paid to sit at my desk and read, 5 weeks vacation.

Hate: Dealing with psychotic patrons, my salary.

I'm a legal secretary

Love: I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my boss. I have really great co-workers and my pay is really good.

The only thing that I really don't like is that there's a cap on how many vacation/sick days you can carry over each year.

Love: only working 3 days a week

Hate: working 12 hour shifts

Love: Saving lives

Hate: Talking to the family when we cant save a life

i love that i get out at 4pm
i hate that we dont get raises at all

I'm a 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher

I love: the look on their faces when they 'get it'
I hate: the look on their faces when they dont and there's nothing I can do about it!

are you a nurse? my sister just started school to be one.

Children's Librarian

Love: Working with the kids, the library that I work at allows me to do lots of different things that other libraries don't...so I love the place I work.. I love my coworkers... I love the FLEX TIME OPTION WE HAVE


Hate: That people think I read all day and don't understand why I needed a MASTERS DEGREE to be a librarian
