Thats crazy. Why would anyone do that? Why not move closer or get a closern job. Could you imagine going to work that early and getting home that late!!!!

I just couldn't do it!! I hate long commutes. I am a spoiled New Yorker that hops in a cab if I am late to work. I couldn't spend my life like that.

WOW I could NOT imagine that - but I will tell you at FH's law school - they have a weekend program - where students fly in for weekend classes - They have a LARGE number of students who commute EVERY weekend for 3 years YEAR ROUND to Lansing, MI - to go to law school.
FH has spoken to a number of them - he knows a few who are working in Manhattan, with wives and children, who get on a plane every friday and return home every sunday night - to go back to work on monday!!!!

I know somebody who did that!
One of our Managing Directors lived in Boston and worked with us in NYC.
Most of the time she would stay in Stamford during the week at a BNB, and then go home on the weekends. Some weeks though she would drive it.
Crazy!!

Wow....good for him. He's living in Maine...on a Boston salary...Same as people who live in PA and commute to NYC everyday. It takes about 2.5-3 hours, but thousands of people do it.
