Thinking about cancelling...

Hi girls...I have been a lurker on the boards for awhile now, basically just trying to see what great ideas you guys have for your weddings... Unfortunately, due to finances, I think I might have to call off the wedding. My question is. the STD's went out awhile ago. If we do cancel, do I send something out? What should I do??? Thanks in advance...

first i am so sorry you are going through this. I would see what happens first...if you do cancel id send something out to them.
see if you can cut any corners.....i am having a May wedding with 150 people and have kept it under 22K! if you need an help please let me know! I hope it all works out

That's too bad! Are you sure you can't do something inexpensive? It doesn't have to be all fancy or anything.

I think you wouldn't have to send something out since no invitations were actually sent, but I would try to get the word out somehow. Could someone (maybe not you) call to tell people? I am so sorry to hear that.

If you're thinking of canceling, probably the best thing to do is to call or have someone else call (mom or a best friend) if feasible. If you don't want to, you could always send out a notice saying that you're postponing and thank everyone for their understanding. If you go this route, I'd suggest getting postcards from VistaPrint (very inexpensive--free sometimes if they're doing a promotion).

If it doesn't work out I think you have to notify people in someway, maybe have the moms make phone calls.
