Thinking about going away for two days during Feb. break....

can anyone recommend somewhere to go that's no too far away and not extremely expensive. Scott and I were thinking about going somewhere during the week b/c it's less expensive and I aready have off. I know of Mount Haven, but you have to entertain yourselves, it could get boring.

do u guys like to gamble/What about mohegan sun or foxwoods? Yo dont haver to stay at those places they have hotels nearby that are cheaper or maybe AC?

Thamks for the idea. Maybe if we go with another couple b/c we're not really into the whole casino thing. Besides I'm afraid once I start I'll end up spening a lot...LOL

Villa Roma is upstate NY. I was looking at the website. It looks like a really nice place. Has anyone stayed there??

If not any other places you recommend? Instead of getting each other gifts for Vday and our 6 month anniversary which falls on the 14th, we decided to go away presidents day weekend...

We really enjoyed Lancaster, Pa, Amish Country.

But, it will probably be very hard to eat low carb there

I stayed at Villa Roma a long time ago with my family. We had a great time, but I was a kid. I have heard good things since.

How about on Long Island....Anywhere good to stay?

Danielle is a little hesitant about staying at a bed and breakfast though...So I guess we are limited on places to stay on LI. I thought it would be cool togo out east and be able to hit the wineries and the outlets and stuff.

Or there's also Mohonk MOuntain House in New Paltz, which is really great. There's hiking, ice skating, huge fireplaces, libraries, and the scenery is amazing. It's only about 1:45 minutes from Nassau.

The price is a bit steep, but it includes 3 meals and afternoon tea.
