Nope. We kept our BP to DH's brother and his wife.

yeah, like Wendy, we kept it small. We had his 2 cousins & my 2 cousins.
I still like 'em!

Ha! We had 21 people...
Does it count if I didn't want them in the BP in the first place???
Also, I regret leaving some people out!

Re: Thinking back on your wedding...
I sort of regret putting one of my friends in. We were very close at the time. At least that's what I thought. I got married in July of 2003 and when she got married in feb of 2004...I was kind of disappointed that I was not in her bridal party. I understand she wanted to keep it small...that's fine but she still chose close friends. Which left me thinking what was I???
We are not that close anymore now. I mean there was no fight or anything. I just don't feel close anymore.

Nope, no regrets. My Maid and Matron were best friends since Nursery School and Kindergarten. My BM was my college roommate of 3 years. DH had our close friend/his best friend (they guy who got us together in the first place), his brother and my brother. And we had his niece and nephew.
I still speak to all of them and expect to continue to do so.
I purposely didn't have a big bridal party because I didn't want the nonsense of regretting my choices in the future.

Re: Thinking back on your wedding...
regrets on 3 bridesmaids. but needed to balance out for the men. MIL promised her sister DHs aunt that her son would be in the bridal party whenever DH was to get married DH understood that, just dont think it was fair that I had to. I wanted a very small one brother, sister, BIL, SIL that was it. but MIL is old fashioned Italian and Hubby didnt want to upset her.

I regret not putting 1 or 2 friends of mine in the BP, but I didn't want more than 6 girls...just too many people for me to deal with. I wouldn't elminate any of the girls I had though.

Nope, no regrets.
This is precisely why I only had two girls (my 2 SILs) and DH had three guys (his two brothers and my bro) .. Because I KNEW if we started throwing in friends, extended famiy, etc. we'd regret it one day and cringe whenever we looked at our pics

No, we regret who we DIDN'T
same here! I had two of my best friends decline to be in my wedding party They had perfectly valid reasons and I completely understood (one just had a baby, the other was in her brother's wedding just a week after mine!) but I still regret the timing and wish they could have been part of my wedding day as my BP. Not a ergret, but I sometimes wonder if I should have asked my 18 year old cousin to be in the BP. She's not close at all, and they live in Philly, but my family is so wierd, so I sometimes wonder if they were offended or anything...
Anyway - I miss my wedding, I really wish I could have that day all over again!!!

No but I had wished I asked my cousin. We have gotten closer a few months before and I am so mad at myself that I did not ask her!

Re: Thinking back on your wedding...
I don't regret having anyone in it - I wish there was a person or two more in it. There were two people I was thinking about adding, one definitely, but as I already had one more person than DH, he didn't want it to be anymore uneven. I honored those two friends in different ways - one did a reading, the other held my chuppah.

Re: Thinking back on your wedding...
MY MOH would of been a bridesmaids and I would of picked 1 of Don's cousins instead of all three to keep the peace in the family.

Re: Thinking back on your wedding...
I don't cringe at my pictures over that friend that didn't pick me to be in her BP. Like I said, we've just lost a little touch but I don't hate her.
DH's two brothers were in the bridal party but not his SIL's...DH said that he didn't want to feel obligated to put them in just because their husbands are. So we made his two SIL's the readers....One of them was really touched we asked her to do a reading. The only SIL i put in was his sister cuz they are really close and we are close as well...
Do you know what sucks the most is when you later regret the person who was your maid/matron of honor. I picked my two best friends that I have known for over 20 years. They are both twin sisters. They consider me an aunt and they have extened that courtesy to DH and consider him an uncle to their kids. One of them made me a godmother to her son. And I made her oldest daughter who was 4 at the time my flowergirl. one of my cousin's son was the ring bearer and DH's niece and nephew were junior usher and BM. We had too many nieces and nephews to pick from so we had to narrow it down and I said two kids from my side of the family and two from his.
