The Hyatt!!!!
I've been on two cruises there and always stay on the Hyatts beach. The hotel is gorgeous, a little pricey though.
My mother stayed at the Aruba Sonesta and loved it. All the hotels are really nice though, Wyndham, Radisson...
And DO NOT under any circumstances, go on the tubes pulled by the boat, my whole back looked like I got caned!!! I wouldn't get off my beach chair, and FI had to get ice because the bruising was so bad!
But otherwise, Aruba is amazing!

Re: Thinking of a Honeymoon in Aruba
We stayed at the Bucuti Beach Resort and it was beautiful! It was very quiet, and caters to couples. There were many honeymooners there, but also a lot of repeat visitors. Their beach is the largest of all the hotels we saw and I had no problem getting a shady hut- a must for me. It is in the low rise hotel area, not far from the Tamarjin and the Divi Resorts. It is not all inclusive, so you do have to budget for food. The one thing I would say is that if you are really into the water sports and activities, you might be better off in the high rise area (the Hyatt, Wyndam, Radisson, Marriot, etc.) - that is where most of that stuff is located. We just wanted, quiet, romantic and peacful and the Bucuti was perfect!

Re: Thinking of a Honeymoon in Aruba
We are staying at the Radisson. I looked at all the hotels ( in SERIOUS depth) and its one of the best. Its voted second best to the Hyatt which gets # 1 for service , class and accomadations. We wanted the radisson because all the rooms have balconies and none of the Hyatt rooms have one, and because the Hyatt caters in a small part to children , must less so then the Radisson.
i heard good things about the Renassiance and Marriott as well.
The Wyndham looked nice but I have had a few friends who stayed there complain about it being the windiest part of the beach and I researched and heard similiar comments.
Check out www.tripadvisor.com for a lot of good reviews( take them with a grain of salt of course) and do a search on here for 'Aruba' to get reviews from people who have gone.

Re: Thinking of a Honeymoon in Aruba
Ok I just literally came back from my Honeymoon last Saturday, Dec 11th. We went away for 16 days and it was Awesome! We went to Aruba for 6 days, Puerto Rico for 2 days, then went on a 7 day cruise to the Carribean Islands. We are both active and sociable so we needed more activity rather than romance. We stayed at 'The Renaissance'. It was perfect because its alive. I didn't think there was too much to do at night in Aruba. Our area had the most going on. We took a day and went to the other side of the island and checked out the Hyatt, Wyndham and Radisson. They were all exquisite. The beaches were connected and vey nice BUT after dark- nothing much to do.If you want to be romantic all week- those places are good enough but it was a bit too boring for us.We usually have a good time with just ourselves, but after a while, you can only eat & drink so much. The Renaissance had a couple of nice lounges and a lot of nearby restaurants, a few bars & club called Carlos n Charlies. P.S.- if you go there and your not a vegetarian, you MUST eat at El Gaucho. We found it on the last day and it was amazing food. The biggest steaks you've ever seen, and so tasty. MMMmm.
Aruba was nice and very relaxing but I will say, that I'm glad our honeymoon didn't end there. It was nice to visit another island.
