I've always wanted a saturday night wedding, and when we booked we booked friday for financial reasons, being that we were buying a house and all. Well we're in the house now and doing really well...So I started calling all my vendors figuring they would be booked already and so far the priest may be a problem, in which case there is no changing, but I really want a Saturday, Chateau Briand is available and the upcharge isn't bad at all!! Had they given us this price to begin with I would have booked Saturday from the beginning!!!!
I just need to vent, I'm so overwhelmed with my new job, wedding stuff and house..But I feel like I;m only doing this once it should be exactly what I want.

i also had to have a saturday night... if its what you REALLY want then go for it.. theres no possible way your priest can do it?? i hope he can... everything should be the way you want it!

IF you can afford to do a Saturday night wedding and this is really what you want - then go for it. It's your day girl.

i think you should definitely make the change if it makes you happy! what would happen if the priest couldn't do it? is getting married at a church an absolute have to? could the ceremony time change?? what are your options?

I'm hoping he'll accomodate me..I'm also waiting to hear from my DJ ( frank from FM). So far Duet , Chateau Briand, and my limo is availbale, Pedestals wont be a problem, Make up booked Oksana I have to see if she can accomodate me. So just waiting to hear from my priest and DJ

I have always wanted a Sat wedding also, but my hall did not have any available in June and I didnt want to get married in another month, but yeah if your hall has a Sat still available, go for it. I wonder if its really difficult to switch to another date????

if you can swing it without a problem then you should go for it, it should be what you and your fh want.
both of us wanted a sat nite wedding, so we choose a place less expensive so we could do that!

if you really feel that financially it wouldn't be spreading yourself too thin go for it! it's more convenient for your guests too because friday night in ny means traffic so u'd hafta plan around that. Sunday is fine also but u can't really have an evening wedding bc people have work and will need to leave early and such so things are limited

we also wanted a saturday night - so we chose a winter wedding so we can do that
if you can do it -go for it!

We wanted a Saturday night too, and just like you and many other brides on a budget we had to go with either Friday or Sunday. we chose a Sunday and in the winter. So im saving allot but sometimes i find myself hoping to change it. but then i think of all this entails since i booked all m y vendors. changing one thing means changing everything and if its for a Saturday expect to pay more for all your vendors.
But if its what you really want and can afford it, by all means do it. I wished i could!!
