Thinking that I can't make a decision because.........

I am not ready to get married.

It shouldn't matter if I get married in summer, spring or winter......tall center pieces, small centerpieces.......big wedding, small wedding......if I truly wanted to, wouldn't city hall be perfect??

Question....your passion?

It's all up to you. I'm not getting married and having a big wedding for other people. FH and I decided we would love to have a big wedding with all our family there. Who cares about anybody else?

What do you want? Nobody can judge you for what you want.... they can try to... but that doesn't matter.

its goes up and down, this is a very emotional process, just chill for a few days and when the time is right things will fall into place

some people just aren't into all the craziness of planning. Think of this- would you be happy just going to marry him anywhere?? If you are, then its not him- it just might be the stress of planning a wedding.

i agree w/ the girls - do whatever makes YOU happy. and if you truly aren't ready then thats that and you dont have to move forward w/ a wedding! but if you are just experiencing a lull in excitement b/c we are all engaged for a lengthy period, give yourself a little break and revisit things later a brief hiatus from centerpieces, dresses and menus can be a nice breath of fresh air and get you re-excited to jump back in

Thank you ladies so much for your input! I have in fact decided to take a breather. I had 2 appointments yesterday for DJ's that I ended up cancelling because my head just isn't there.

I'm not quite sure if its simply the pressure of putting together a wedding or if we're getting married because it's the next logical step...
FH and I have a 3 year old son and have lived together for 4 years, so it only seems the logical thing to do.

There are certain things in a relationship that I can't live without and day by day I think I'm starting to realize that some of those things are non existent in my current relationship. Going to be taking a little breather from planning and do some serious thinking. I need to figure out if its just nerves, stress or if it's my gut giving me the heads up.

It should be fun at this point....if your not having fun then def take a break! We have soooo much time, just enjoy being engaged to each other, and forget about the wedding for now.

Take your time and think things over. Do not get married just because you think it is the next logical step. You do not want to regret it later.

After FH and I first got engaged I got overwhelmed and waned to just fly off to Vegas and let Elvis do the honors. Now that I have settled down my mother (she was a tad overbearing) I am so happy we didn;t do that and am totally into planning. Don't give up and be hasty. Wait a while and see how you feel. The spark to wedding plan may just come back one day like it did for me.

You have to do what you feel is right for you and your FH. If you guys are totally happy with something small and intimate then do that. This is my second wedding and I have to admit that I spent the whole first time planning to suit everyone elses needs and it was such a headache. Take all the time you need to, and in the end if you feel that city hall is the way to go for you then by all means...
