I had 1 ticket that I have been disputing over the last 2 months & they still took my truck!
We awoke this morning & thought it was stolen
After going to Jamaica & paying the ticket & towing fees, then all the way to College Point to the tow yard and $550 later, I got my truck back.
They said I may get the money back after the dispute But still!!!!!!!!!!

They towed it b/c of a 2 month old ticket? I NEVER heard of the city doing anything that fast. Sorry about the aggravation and I hope you get some money back.

OMG Jenn, the same thing happened to me. They put my license plate # on a parking ticket for a Dodge Omni (I drive a pick, up...but Jenn already knows that ) and they repoed it! I had to bail it out & now I am fighting it in City Court. Shady stuff man... they must be really desparate to get$$$$

The city really does stink. I can not believe they towed it over one ticket. I hope that you dispute it and get your money back.

No mine is black with black tinted windows.
But its not brand new, that one is next (the 4 door)
after Hurricane Floyd, I guess they wanted to clean the streets...the sign was 7am...I left for work at 7:06 and it was gone!!!! the ticket was written for 7:02...I was so ****ed!!! at least it was only $150 though

That's the one we are getting! Black with (fade up mirror) tint windows, Hemi....ahhhh, nice truck.
The Tundra doesn't have a real back seat & my p/u is only a 2 seater.... so if we want to be able to have a kid-friendly car, I told him to get that or I was going to get a mini-van.
(funny thing is I HATE mini-vans... I would never get one, but it scared him into getting the new truck )

The city is DESPERATE for $$$$. Fox 5 showed them towing for an expired parking meter. That is INSANE

Rams are the best.. I love the look on a guys face when he is checking out your ride & then realizes a chick (or lady, if you are so inclined) is driving it.... their jaw drops everytime!

Check your license plates too - I had heard that they are ticketing if you have any kind of frame around the plate that covers ANY of the writing - like where it says The Empire State on the bottom.
