I weighed in and I lost 3 pounds and now I am going on maintenance. I did not have a lot to lose. 10 pounds was my goal but lost 11. I was actually in weight watchers goal but I wanted to go under what they suggested and succeeded. So the first week people looked at me and was like 'why is she here?'
Now, I wear the same thing every week (even undergarments) so I know if it is weight that I gained.
To make a longer story long, my friend who I go with told me that this one lady said 'maybe I should wear a black dress every week.' but she said it like she was making fun of me.
I guess I feel like I need justification if this makes sense. I had lost 40 pounds before weight watchers but gained 15 pounds back. I wanted to do something before I ended up like 200 pounds.
Sorry just needed to vent.

Re: This got me upset at WW tonight
when i was faithfully attending WW i always wore the same thing - my grey sweatpants and my red t-shirt. otherwise - how do you know how much you lost vs. the weight of your clothes??? there were plenty of women in my group who wore the same thing!!!!!
also wanted to add - when i joined WW i did it to lose 10-15lbs. i did it b/c i didn't want the 10-15 to turn into 50-60!!! i think it's better to make changes in your lifestyle (like joining WW) before it gets out of hand!!

Re: This got me upset at WW tonight
dont let them get to you. I wear the same thing every week. Last week when I gained 6 pounds I was devastated. My WW leader made me feel so wonderful. She said its a fixable damage. It can be controlled and conquered. Dont let it distract you from your goal.
My goal is too lose 25 more pounds. I am staying focussed. I had some bumps along the way, but when I look in the mirror I am happy at what I see.
Those other woman are jealous and dont let them upset you. What matters is what you think. Its hard to lose weight and sometimes reaching goal feels like it will take forever, but you did and that is what matters.
I had a guy in my meeting who last week reached his goal, he lost 228 pounds. It took him a little over 2 years, but he did it. It takes a lot of dedication to loose weight and if he can loose 228 pounds anyone can do it. You lost 11 and that is wonderful. You should be very proud of yourself.

Jen, don't let this stupid jealous woman get to you! You are beautiful and sweet and INTELLIGENT to wear the same clothes to see if there is a real difference! People that talk about others for such childish reasons have nothing better to talk about and are insecure!

Re: This got me upset at WW tonight
When I was in WW 2 years ago (I am going back this week, I gained it back plus some) I only had like 15 lbs to lose, and I could hear the women whispering about me like why was I there? I agree with you that I didnt want to make 15 turn into 150 lbs. I was a twig when I was younger, was able to eat whatever I wanted, and now that I am getting older, I have to change my habits. Dont let them bother you, there is nothing wrong with a person taking control of thier weight before it got to a point where it was unhealthy. Good luck with WW!

Re: This got me upset at WW tonight
I thought about you yesterday when I went to my meeting. I sat their and really looked around at my fellow members. That and my leader asked 'why is everyone here' and a lot of it was to loose weight, better eating habbits and to be at a healthy weight.
I think just walking into the door and attending your first meeting is taking a big step and to stick to it, loose weight and keep it off is a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT! The hard thing to do and no matter how challenging it gets or if you gain a few pounds you know how to do damage control and get back on track. Some people dont and then when its too late it is even harder for them.
When Brian started WW he was 302. Now he is 259. He lost 42 pounds. He feels great, he looks great and he needs to get new clothes. He said it is the best feeling he has ever had to put on a pair of jeans and they be so big they literally fall off. To put on a pair of pants that are a 40 and they fit (where he wore a 50 before)
Its success stories like that, that make WW so worth it and as long as you are happy at what you see in the mirror that is all that matters. Whe cares what others say its your feelings about it that really matters. If you look great and feel great then that is priority and those woman should just be quiet
