This is different...custom aisle runners

I have never seen this before. Thought you would all like to see. They make custom aisle runners. They can do monograms, hand painting, borders, love quotes, etc. They also make runners with all roses.

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

I am so in love with these handpainted aisle runners. I even looked into doing one by myself. My FH isn't crazy about shelling out the cash for something we just 'walk on'.

I love the monogram one- very royal. I don't think I'd get one though.

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

I saw a beautiful one with a poem. They are VERY expensive though for something that has approx a 20 min role in the ceremony.
Especially when you realize that the promoting of it as a keepsake is not si practical, when on earth are you going to use it again. That said, FMIL LOVES the idea of one. Clearly we are not genetically related on any level!

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

I am thinking about doing this but am waiting to see what the flowers come in at before placing an order. I am trying so hard to stay on budget!

Anne NYC:
I must say the times when I have seen them really shine is at beach weddings where it really marks out the ceremony site. At Atlantica it would be beautiful, I would say.

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

Yes - our florist said it would be great. I agree that it could be something special. But I agree with you that it is a lot of $$ for 20 min!

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

Ooohh...where did you find that one Soon2Be? I like it a lot. We're still debating whether to get married on the sand at Land's End, or in the gazeebo....and if we do the sand, then we'll definitely need a runner!!! Although Jennifer said that noone else has ever gotten married in the sand!! So, maybe we'll be the first. Who knows.....

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

I ordered our aisle runner from them. I was afraid i would not get it in time (but it did). Make sure you order far enough in advance because they are really busy.

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

I had a hand-painted aisle runner. We preserved it, so we could use it for our children's weddings, their children's wedding, and so on and so forth.

We had a sayingon the top, the borders were painted with hydrangeas, our names, and our wedding date. Our hope is the our children will add their names and wedding dates to it as well.

I guess we'll see one day.

We were married at Atlantica and it was sensational. Well worth the $$$$

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

Again, I think it depends on the where of you wedding is. At a beach locale, like an Atlantica, I would expect it would be amazing -- a major focal point, especially for a daytime event. I cannot help but wonder if some of the effect would be lost with a nightime wedding in a closed room in a mansion, you know?

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

This is the room we're getting married in, so hopefully it will stand out since it's sort of like being outside only without the weather issues.

Jennie,
If all you want is a pink one, they have premaid ones that are about $200 from that company. They don't need to dye it, they already have them.

Re: This is different...custom aisle runners

My artist hand-painted mine with border, stenciling, and shipping for $1500 (they usually go for $3000).
If you're interested, send me a FM.
