This is for anyone that parties in the Hamptons and/or Fire Island. Please Help!!

Hi Everyone -

Okay, they're planning on having my bachelorette party the weekend before Memorial Day - Fri & Sat May 20th & 21st. (This is the weekend and it's set in stone, so changing it is not an option).

Can anyone please tell me if either the Hamptons or Fire Island will be dead or really hoppin' that weekend? I know the nightlife season typically starts Memorial Day thru Labor Day.

I would totally appreciate any/all responses. I am really trying to avoid the whole city thing.

i know for a fact that fire island will be dead. fh went there last year to help his friend set up the rental house and he said it was way dead. You would probably have better luck in the Hamptons. I have been to bars out there around Halloween and had good times so I think that is your best bet.

Most likely Ocean Beach ( fire island) will be a very happening place (weather permitting)

And The hamptons are always a hot spot as soon as the weather gets nicer...

If its cooler outside during that weekend you could have a dead weekend. These 2 place will really depend on the weather.

I was planning on FI for mine the weekend after Labor Day. I don't want it to be too wild, but the Season in both the Hamptons and FI is getting extended more and more in both directions (before Memorial and after Labor days).

The Hamptons will be definently open and busy.

All the City people will be driving out that weekend, so if you plan on staying over in a motel somewhere book your reservations in advance.

The Hamptons will be very busy. The house rental start on May 1st for the season ( used to be Memorial Day). Montauk is usually very busy too because of all the weekend activities.

I agree with the ladies-the Hamptons will be busy but I can guarantee you that Fire Island will most likely be dead ( I worked on Fire Island for 6 summers-Memorial Day Weekend is when the action starts!!!)

If it's a nice weekend it will be very busy. Montauk especially. People will start coming out here as soon as the weather get warmer but the real fun won't start until the end of May.
