this is gross but I think my dog has tapeworms; UPDATE: I WAS WRONG, he is fine!
it looks exactly like he has sesame seeds in his poop. it's been like that for a few days. i have some friends involved in dachshund rescue who have worked with tons of dogs with all sorts of ailments. they say this can be a tape worm. i looked it up online. he has no symptoms, but that could be normal. this usually happens if the dog eats a flea that is infected. i keep checking my dog and he has no fleas but who knows what is outside. oh, this is so gross. and now that i realize it could be a problem, it is a holiday weekend and i do not know when my vet will be around. all they do at first is test the poop but i have to get a sample over to the vet (and i would not mind a phone consult).
