Less then 5 days till my wedding and Im laying in bed sick as a dog. My glands are all red and disfigured with thos white dots on them and I feel like complete s hit. I really hope my doctor is open tomorrow. This is not good!
Update: So FH took me to the ER b/c I have a feeling I would not have been able to get an appointment tomorrow at my Dr. and I can't be waiting till Tuesday to start medicine. Anyway...turns out I have strep! I am the type of person that rarely ever gets sick and now not only do I get strep but I get it 4 days before the wedding!! At least now I have meds so they can start working ASAP. Thanks for all of your well-wishes girls!

there has to be a clinic open tonight or tomorrow. the faster you see a doctor and start meds, the better off you'll be.

OMG...I've had the same thing all weekend...I can barely swallow and it feels like I have razors down my throat! Glad to know Im not alone!

I also went to the ER last night and also have strep...Well atleast I knew we had the same symptoms. I hope yuo feel better before your big day! Rest up and drink lots of liquids! Once you start your antibiotics you should start feeling better....WHich hospital were you at? I went to Plainview last night.

Oh my god I have strep too. It is going around. On top of that I also have shingles again. I had it about 2 weeks ago. I am so sorry it is right before your wedding. I have to try to not get sick from now until July. With my luck I will be sick for my wedding

My cousin's kid had strep last weekend and couldn't come to my daugher's bday party. I guess it is going around. If you never had it before, I hate to say that the first time is terrible. You will be prone to it now that you have gotten it, but it becomes easier. The first time, I slept for days. It is highly contagious and if you kissed FH, more than not, he will get it. It spreads by close contact too. You are contagious for the first 24 hours after starting antiobiotics. I suggest, with the first symptoms, he should go the dr and get antiobiotics. There also walk ins open that you have to wait forever, but don't pay a huge copay. You can't go though if you have an HMO. Feel better.
