a girl i work with got married a year ago, (it was beautiful) took a family leave today, heres why..
dear so and so,
i'm sorry to tell you like this in a letter but i dont think i'm ready to be a husband and father, and i cant express how much i miss being with my mom, so i dropped the baby off at daycare and moved back home, will talk later. i'm so sorry, i just am not ready.

can you beleive this, she just e-mailed me the letter, i'm going to call her now, i know she needs a friend, she never even saw it coming. oh i signed his name that way....

you all are right, my mom would take my bros. by the ear and literally take him home after kicking his a$$, i think i'm going to get a bottle of wine and take it there with me she wants me to come over at six, her sister is taking the baby for the night. i feel so sad for her and she is such a beautiful person a wonderful mommy, and works sooo hard and she was a fabulous wife to a butt muncher.

OMG I can't believe this! How can his mother think this is okay? What if she pulled the same thing on him?! People need to grow up and accept responsibilities for their actions. Doesn't seem like he wasn't ready to MAKE the baby.

Bring her wine and tell her there's a whole crew of LIW girls praying for her.

That is horrible and disgusting. For him to admit that he misses his mom and his mother being in her glory that he left his wife and child to come home to her ---- something says extremely disfunctional family!

I am so sorry for your friend, but in time she will see she got the best of him a beautiful baby!

A friend of mine went through something similiar (no children involved). Best you can do is just be there for her -- she is not expecting you to have the answers for her.

I am absolutely DISGUSTED to read that. I am floored & feel so badly for your friend. Unfortunately too many are raising 'forever babies' they never become men. He was looking for a mom surrogate. What a horrible mom (& son for that matter). She obviously did not raise him to have loyalty, sense of responsibility and a care for others except himself.
She is lucky to have a friend like you. I am truly feeling for her during this time!
