This is not good!

FH just called me to say that his bank account has been hacked into! Someone has been making purchases with this account! I immediately checked our joint account to make sure that was okay. Thankfully it is, but with the banks looking at our money for our mortgage this is terrible!

Ladies be careful with your accounts. Don't log into your account on public computers! Keep watch of your accounts as much as possible!

Thanks ladies. Thankfully he gets out of work super early so he's on his way to the bank now. I am hoping this is just a case of someone figured out his debit card number. This had happened to me in the past and it was resolved quickly. All of the purchases were online. I hope they catch the SOB!

I don't know how much was purchased, but FH's bank contacted him. They immediately put a stop to the purchases and I'm pretty sure cancelled anything that could be cancelled. He was just frantic for me to check our joint account when he called.

That stinks!!! Good thing your joint account is ok....Also good thing they caught it. I would not worry about the Mortgage companies, they should be informed about the fraudulent charges on the account and it will not count against you guys.

Same thing happened to FH, he bought me something from this website. After he made the purchase checked his acct to make sure nothing suspicious happened (he always does this) and before you know it all his $ was gone. He immediately reported it to the bank, the bank said that they purchased 2 airline tickets. The bank gave the $ the next day. They did an investigation and caught the guy.

So please please becareful, make sure when you make a purchase online it shows www.https which means its a secured site.

I've heard of so many people lately who have had their accounts hacked into. Any hacker would be pissed if they wasted the time to hack into my account, they can take all $10 of the dollars in there and have a friggin party

That is how I am feeling today - got paid last week, and I'm almost tapped. Same will happen as soon as I am paid next week!

FH went to the bank and luckily the person just stole his debit card number. This has happened to me in the past. It wasn't a lot taken from his account and the bank is replacing it. Thank God!
