WASHINGTON -- Some local newlyweds asked for help finding their wedding pictures Tuesday.
Scott Veketch and Frances Marquez were married in a simple ceremony Saturday with no one else around.
They celebrated with tea at the Willard and pictures outside the White House, but forgot the camera in a taxicab on the way home.
'It's very important for everybody to see, to share in our joy of the moment,' Veketch said. 'It's sad.'
'As a youngster, his childhood home burned down,' Marquez said. 'So he doesn't have very many pictures from his childhood either, so it kind of triggered that. And so he was pretty upset, and I was, as well.'
They have a video of the ceremony, but no photos. They took pictures with a Kodak digital camera to send back to their families in Los Angeles and Seattle.
They said they called the cab commission and hundreds of cab drivers.
They said whoever has it can keep the camera, but they would like to have the digital memory card back
