I think it would depend on your guests. Do you have alot of older guests that might end up by leaving early if you play this for 45 min? Have them play a couple of songs but I dont think I would do 45 min.

i have to admit, if i heard music like this for an extended period of time i'd be a little like i thought we were at a wedding, not a rave. however, it's your wedding and you should do what you want. i wholeheartedly believe that. how many days in your life do you have to make totally unique, ridiculous decisions, and people have to deal with you?? live it up!

I agree with Celia - your older guests will certainly not appreciate it, lol. A couple of songs, sure, but definitely not 45 minutes worth.
My dad recently went to a wedding and was not impressed because he said they played a lot of techno/rave music........and it's sad because my dad LOVES to get up and dance, but just not to that.

I love it...but not for 45 minutes. Like you said, he'll probably be pretty buzzed and won't notice if it's cut short. I'm all for tailoring music choices to the couples' personal taste (I've been having some trouble with this myself lately...Iron Maiden isn't wedding music? ) but you also gotta keep the guests in mind. A few songs...these kinds of songs can last forever, so maybe a couple instead of a few (which will probably be like 20 minutes long, LOL) and you'll be good to go.
Are you having an after-party where you can have it playing? Just a thought!

ugh thats tough. thats rave scene music not wedding music and its very hard to dance to especially when you have older people wearing heels. you might get a few confused faces when it comes on. i would do very few songs and at the very end after all the older guests leave

Nothing wrong with that! My FH and I are the same way!! Johnathan Peters, Benny Bennasi, Tiesto, etc! Its your wedding, do what you want. Besides people will be drunk by that time, they may actually enjoy it!

Ok, I actually enjoy club music, in small doses. I personally dont think that 45 min is that long BUT I wouldnt end the night w/it. I would go back to maybe some 70's dance music & end that way.
Last year one of my BMs got married and her DH is a former DJ, he jumped on the table for the last 2hrs of the reception & played club music......it was actually painful! FH & I had to grab a bottle of wine from our table & sneak outside just so we could talk.
