I have NEVER had any type of surgery before and Ive only been to the dentist twice in my adult years. They said they are just using a local anesthetic. So Im gonna be awake listening to everything. I think Im gonna die of a heart attack. Im not gonna be able to sleep tonight. Im so anxious.

Let them know how nervous you are - maybe they can sedate you....

I can promise you that you won't feel anything - but you will hear it - there's no way you'll see anything though.

Possibly bring an ipod - so you don't have to listen...

I dont want to be put to sleep. That scares me too. Do you think they would let me listen to my iPod? Do you think Im gonna feel anything? Like pressure while theyre doing it?? this is nuts, I cant believe Im doing this. I think I may just chicken out.

u can call them in the morning and ask to be put under...u can eat for like 8 hours before tho so dont eat anything now until u call them just incase........i know alot of people who had them pulled awake and wished they handt. not trying to scare you but i myself cant deal with the pain i had to be put under to have my 2 back molars pulled

it certainly can't hurt to ask if you can listen to your ipod.

what they can give you is a sedative instead of putting you OUT.... i had one when i had the colonoscopy - that's what they gave me and it was fine...i just went to sleep...

ug i hate dentists....in the next 2 weeks ill be losing all my top teeth lol!!!!!! im gonna be like an old lady....whers my teef wheres my teef lol!!! but it will be worth it when i can smile with my mouth open. I was supposed to mick up my denture on the 16th but thats the day of my surgery now i have to wait till the 23rd! uggggggg you bet your a$$ ill be under for that one!!!! lol
