this is what you don't say to a short person

Original post by JanuaryBride06

'i like how people who feel short learn EXACTLY how tall they are - '5' 1.75' vs. 5' 2''...i'm surprised you only learned to 2 decimal places.'

Just got that in an email. I have nice friends.

I wear a 9 1/2 shoe. It is hard!

Being 'big boned' isn't a picnic either. LOL I can't buy clothing at most stores and the stores that do carry my size are all designed for old ladies.

Do they have NY&Co in Tex-***? I'm big boned also, and their stuff fits me fine.

They do have one but I haven't been there. I JUST found out that they carried big boned girls clothes. LOL I am heading there at my first opportunity.

I shopped at Lane Bryant till I lost weight for the wedding, now I'm exclusively shopping at NY&Co.

But remember, they don't have skirts or dresses.

I was going to say that based on your wedding pictures, you aren't my kind of 'big boned'. LOL

I am still shopping at Lane Giant, at least until I lose a few more pounds. I remember when I was skinny and I could buy clothes without trying them on.

Being 'tall' is no picnic either. Not easy to find pants that are long enough. And shoe size totally ***** too. Size 10's here.

I am a freakin 10.5 - they don't even make them. They skip straight from 10 to 11 - bastar-ds! Thus why I want to live in Hawaii and wear flip flops at all times. Or go barefooted. Of sleep all day. One of those.

And on a sad note - I am only 5'6 - thus a hobbit with huge feet

Oh believe me, that was only after months of hard work and an a-line that covered the worst spots. I burn all the bad pictures, so you'll never see them.

Well, you did a great job!! I lost about 15 lbs before the wedding which wasn't as much as I wanted. I am serious about losing more (soon) as long as I don't get pg first. LOL

Jerks. I am 5' 4.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999'

so I just say 5'5'. is that wrong? to be fair, i round up when the scale says '.5' when I could round down. [but simple math keeps me from misbehaving....anything over 5 goes up.]
