This may be a dumb question, but will churches marry you on a Sunday?
As you can tell I am not an avid church goer and someone recently told me that a church will not marry you on a Sunday. If this is true then I may have to change my date. Please shed some light on the topic and tell me the girl who told me that doesn't know what shes talking about!!

I'm getting married on a sunday at 3:30... the ceremony times were 11am, 1pm, and 3/330pm. I never heard of a church not having weddings on sundays but im not an avid church goer so who knows. hope this helps

i think they will you just have to do it later in the day after masses are all done

That's the way it is with my church. It probably depends on the church and I'm sure you'd be able to work something out.

depending on there service time and your wedding time .. and depends on the church .. im a sunday wedding .. at a rented church

It does depend on the church, but most will do it after any regular sunday obligations are finished for the day. (masses, sunday school, bible studies, etc)

You have a choice of having a wedding mass or just the ceremony. I think priests can only do a certain amount of masses a day because they can only receive communion a certain amount of times. Is that right?

My church was pretty lenient and married us on a Sunday. The wedding was at 3 PM.
