BUT can you wear a A-LINE slip with a BALLGOWN dress....

i love this ball gown dress but i feel the skirt underneath is just tooooo puffy..
do you think i can get away with an aline slip???

I think you can do whatever you want! However, if you are looking for hard, fast fashion 'rule', I have no idea. I would try on the gown with an a-line slip and see how you like it. Bring one or two ladies you trust, ask the lady in the store, then go with your gut!
