Re: this may have
Haven't done it yet - too early - things could change within the next year - waiting until 1 year before date.

Definitely think it's best to wait after hearing some stories and also seeing first hand how things can go sour.
I've heard of people giving cookies, shirts, homemade cards....

i was going to ask the same question today. lol. then my sister e-mailed me with an idea. she is my MOH & knows i am not very crafy. so what we decided to do is, since i am asking my three cousins we are going to look for a picture from when we were little kids (like 4-8 years old). put it into a side-by-side frame & then the other side will be a note asking them to be my bridesmaid. then i am going to give it to them at christmas

Re: this may have
we asked everyone after we booked the RH. We are having only family members in the BP, so its not too much of an issue. We asked them with the Will you be my Bridesmaid/Groomsmen cards, pics are in my album

I didn't have to ask. All the girls in my BP knew they would be so they all just assumed once we were engaged.

Papyrus sells a boxed set of these really pretty cards that say 'Will you be my bridesmaid,' 'Will you be my Maid of Honor,' 'Will you be my Flower Girl,' and 'Will you be my Ring Bearer' along with matching thank you notes. Everyone was really touched by the cards... got a few teary-eyed bridesmaids. I asked everyone separately, and took them out to dinner and did it that way.
