does it matter where you get it? if i'm getting married in a church on LI can i get it in the license in the city?? its just more convenient for us... i'm assuming yes...

No I do not believe it matters! As long as it is in the state of New York! I want to a different town (Town of Oyster Bay) and we live in Town of North Hempstead....hope that helps!
