if your FI has kids with another girl and tells you that he doesn't want ANY more kids... what will your reaction be?
(uhm. it's not me haha. my friend is seeing someone with 2 very young kids and their going steady for some time now. she sortta was venting out to me that she wants a kid of HER OWN)
that might be a deal-breaker for me. i want to have my own

This would not be ok with me.... but i guess you don't know until your in the situation. I guess if you really don't want to lose that person in your life you might give in.

because of the fact that I know I want children on my own (very badly at that) it would be a total deal breaker - I would personally not be with anyone who does not want children with me.

This would definitely be a deal breaker for me. FH has a daughter from a pervious relationship (not marriage) and she is definitely a handful...she's got a lot of issues from the way she was raised and now I am suffering the consequences of other people's poor decisions.
Soooo yeah, I want to start from the beginning with my OWN children, thanks.

i don't know that it would necessarily be a dealbreaker, but it depends... If he has custody and I could be a mom to them, then I might be okay with it... Then it's just like adopting. I know plenty of people who have done this with their partner's kids from a previous marriage...
BUT I want a lot of kids too (like 4), so like I said, it all depends.....
Tough spot, though, I feel for your friend....

well, its a personal choice of hers if she really wants kids or not and which is more important to her being with him or having kids because unfortunately it has come down to a choice between the two obviously.
me personally- i want kids so i probally wouldnt be with a person who didnt want to have kids, now on the other hand, if i had been with this person a while and they told me upfront and i thought i was okay with it but then i changed my mind and wanted to have kids- at that point, i might decide to put the relationship over having kids because i was in love with the person at that point, much more attached and had maybe already built a life with them. again, depends on how much of a desire you have to have children and if there are anyt other things more important to you.

since I really want kids it would be a huge deal breaker. That was the first question I asked FH when we first met. If the guy wasnt into having kids one day it wasnt worth it to me.

I'm in the same situation as you which makes me want my own kids even more than I did before I met FH.
I've always wanted kids so it definitely would be a dealbreaker for me if FH didn't want more kids. For the past 3 years I have tried to have a relationship w/ my future stepdaughter, but I have to walk on eggshells when she's around . And when everything is going good w/ me and my future stepdaughter her mother makes sure that she ruins it by brainwashing her.
FH only sees his daughter every other weekend (sometimes more but not usually) and its only for a few hours (she rarely sleeps over). He realizes that he's missed so much (even though he really tries his best to be a good dad) so he definitely wants kids of our own that he can be with everyday.

I'm actually in that situation. FH was clear from the beginning that he didnt want any kids...although would 'discuss' it if I really wanted them. Well, 5 years later, he now wants to consider having one more and I am the one against it!

That would probably have to be a deal breaker for me....I'd want my own children.....I'd have to have a serious conversation with him to find out where this would all lead.....your poor friend...that's rough!!
