This might be a stupid question...

This might be a stupid question...

But how easy are veils to put on and take off? Is this something that's secured really tightly onto the hair? Or someone someone can insert and take out without issues?

TIA!

I was wondering the same thing! I have a veil that has details in the back (along my hair) so if I flip a blusher over it'll cover the details. Is it easy to just take the blush off at the alter??

its pretty easy! there might be some bobby pins securing it in your hair though

Re: This might be a stupid question...

there are 'stick veils' that the end is just a stick, not a comb that comes in and out easily(as long as you have some sort of height or bun or updo to stick it in

the combs are easy enough to take out buttt they are normally bobby pinned in so you will have to take out all the pins

as for the blusher...I also dont know what to do about this bc my veil has details on it and if i flip it over th details will be backwards

you can however get a blusher that is attached by velcro, which is what im thinking of doing

Mine was super easy to take out, my MOH did it after our first dance. I loved the look of it and thought I wanted to wear it all night, but it was driving me crazy! So, she took it out, no problem, even with the bobby pins holding it in

I am having a velcro blusher added so that right after the church I can remove the blusher and still have the two layer veil

I think it depends on how you wear your hair with it. Sometimes the hair is styled over the veil and secured in a way that the veil has to stay in. Usually though they are pretty easy to take in and out of your hair. You just have to be careful. When my MOH got her hair done for her wedding the hairdresser showed me exactly how to take the veil on and off her head without messing anything up.,

Hmm good to know. I like this idea of a velcro blusher...Where are you ladies getting yours? Is this a normal thing that should be available wherever I'm getting my regular veil?

Another dumb question....I want my veil to lay flat up around my face (to show all its detail and not keep falling behind my shoulders). If its bobby pinned, will the pins be noticeable against the white veil?? Or should I not worry and just let the Hairstylist worry about this?

Ohhh good to know. And again, another stupid question but just to confirm - the blusher is the piece that covers the face?

someone usually has to put a comb in the veil and secure it with hair pins. Usually its good to keep your hair stylist around since once you take your veil off, your hair can get a little messy
